I Accepted Christ!
Congratulations! You have just made the best decision in your life! Please let us know so that we can pray for you:
Congratulations on your decision to place your faith in Jesus Christ, the Son whom the Father has set before humanity as the only way to salvation. Jesus said faith like that of a child is required to enter the kingdom of heaven. So do not worry if you know nothing more about the Bible than what you read on the Gospel page. If you truly believed, God has now saved you from hell and given you the gift of eternal life. He has given you a new heart, and the Holy Spirit of God now dwells in you. We recommend that you follow the steps below to grow in your faith and become more like Jesus:
1. Be sure that you have truly believed and are saved through faith in Jesus Christ.
Learn more about what it means to be ‘born again’. Also make sure you read the Crucial Questions section.
2. Read the Word of God, the Bible.
God saved you and He wants you to have a relationship with you. He wants you to know more about Him. He has a plan for your life. He has given you His Word where He has revealed Himself. We encourage you to get a Bible if you do not have one yet and start reading it. We recommend the King James Version as it is the most accurate and reverent English translation. If you don’t have access to Bibles, you can read the Bible online here in many different languages. We suggest starting with the Gospel of John or alternatively you can find systematic Bible reading plans here.
3. Find a Bible believing church and attend regularly.
If you are already going to a church, make sure that it teaches the full counsel of the Word of God and is faithful to it. We have listed some Bible-believing churches that we know on our Find a Church list.
4. Be baptised by full immersion.
Baptism is a command by our Lord Jesus, He commanded that all believers be baptised:
Matthew 28:19-20 King James Version (KJV)
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Understand that baptism is not a requirement for salvation, rather it is an outward expression of the inward change that has happened in a believer’s heart.
5. Build relationships with true faithful Christians
You may have friends from church, colleagues or neighbours who are born-again believers, who can help you and support you as you learn more about God. Christians are to help, encourage and build up each other as we wait for our Lord Jesus Christ. If you do not know any other Christians, try to find friends at church or at a Bible study.
You will have many questions, the answers are in the Bible. Feel free to ask us if your question has not been answered already by us.
